If you could have a conversation with a leader or well known person, who would you choose and why? What would you like to talk to them about?
The Irrawaddy Literary Festival was a not-for-profit event run entirely by volunteers celebrating Myanmar and international writers. All sponsorship funding was used to produce the Festivals; with no salaries or fees paid to anyone involved.
Although the brutal military coup in 2021 means that no further festivals are possible for now, we remain hopeful that when freedom returns to Myanmar the Festival can resume.
